Man Shot to Death in Compton

A man was shot to death in Compton, authorities said Monday.

The shooting was reported at 9:29 p.m. Sunday in the 1300 block of South Long Beach Boulevard, according to Deputy Wally Bracks of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

Paramedics took the victim to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, Bracks said.

Homicide detectives were conducting a crime scene investigation, she said.

Information about the suspect and details about the shooting were not available, Bracks said.
