A man and two girls were killed Wednesday in a possible domestic violence incident in Watts, authorities said.
Officers were sent to the 9200 block of Success Avenue at about 8:15 a.m., said Officer Norma Eisenman of the Los Angeles Police Department.
Two people died at the scene and a man died at a hospital, Eisenman said.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, paramedics were sent to the location on a report of a shooting, and two girls ages 4 and 6 were pronounced dead at the scene.
Their relationship to the man who died at the hospital was not immediately available from law enforcement, but KTLA5 reported that the deceased are a father and his two children.
“This is a time when I would say that anyone who is a victim or is aware of any victims of domestic violence or child abuse — you know, realizing that there’s still a lot of families that are indoors because of COVID — anyone who’s a witness or a victim please reach out to the police department,” Lt. Kerri Potter of the LAPD’s Juvenile Division told the station.
No further information about the victims’ identities was immediately available.
