Bicyclist Struck by Vehicle, Killed, in Hyde Park

A bicyclist was struck by a vehicle and killed in the Hyde Park area of Los Angeles, authorities said Monday.

It happened at 11:45 p.m. Sunday at 48th Street and Arlington Avenue, according to an officer at the Los Angeles Police Department’s South Traffic Division.

“There was no crime involved. It was an unfortunate circumstance,” he said.

The driver of the vehicle that struck the bicyclist remained at the scene to assist police, the officer said.
