One of the two people killed in a collision between a passenger vehicle and a big rig in Lancaster was publicly identified Monday.
Norma Murillo Velasquez, 45, was a Lancaster resident, coroner’s Lt. Larry Dietz said. The other deceased victim’s name cannot be released until relatives are notified, he said.
The crash was reported about 11:35 a.m. Friday on North 90th Street and East Avenue E in Lancaster, the Los Angeles County Fire Department said.
Velasquez and the other person were pronounced dead at the scene and three others were taken to hospitals, one by a helicopter, a fire department dispatcher said.
Two of the injured had critical injuries and the third had injuries described as minor, according to the dispatcher.
