Police Pursue Suspect With Stab Wound From Van Nuys To Panorama City

A stabbing suspect, who also had a stab wound, led officers on a pursuit from Van Nuys to Panorama City Friday afternoon before surrendering.

The suspect allegedly tried to stab someone and in the process was stabbed before running away, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

An officer recognized the suspect about 4:20 p.m. in the area of the 14100 block of Delano Street, near Hazeltine Avenue, but the suspect got into a truck and drove away, initiating a pursuit, the LAPD said. It was not immediately clear if the truck belonged to the suspect.

The pursuit ended when the suspect gave up about 4:35 p.m. near Sepulveda Boulevard and Sepulveda Place in Panorama City, according to the LAPD.

The suspect was taken to a hospital with a stab wound to his stomach, the LAPD reported. Further information was not released.
