Man Shot to Death in Southwest L.A.

A man was shot to death in the southwest Los Angeles area, and authorities Wednesday were working to solve the crime.

The victim died at the scene of the shooting, which happened at about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 4100 block of Garthwaite Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Information on his identity was not immediately available.

No arrests were reported, and no suspect description was available. Anyone with information on the case was urged to call 877-LAPD-247.
