GRANADA HILLS — A motorist killed in a Granada Hills crash that also injured his female passenger was publicly identified Monday.

Douglas Richards, 67, was a Granada Hills resident, coroner’s Lt. Larry Dietz said.

The crash was at 12:40 a.m. Saturday in the area of Woodley Avenue and Chatsworth Street, according to a watch commander at the Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Traffic Division.

A Nissan Sentra was speeding when it crashed into several parked vehicles and flipped over, he said.

The driver, now identified as Richards, was pronounced dead at the scene and paramedics rushed the woman to an area hospital with severe injuries.
