Vehicle Crashes into Power Pole near Rosemead, One Killed

One person was killed when the vehicle they were in crashed into a power pole Tuesday evening in the unincorporated South San Gabriel area of Los Angeles County near Rosemead.

The accident was first reported about 10:35 p.m. near Hill Drive and Kenneydale Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Details of what led up to the crash were not immediately available.

The pole sustained minor damage and Southern California Edison was notified, the CHP said.

The age, gender and name of the victim were not disclosed.
