Glendale burglary suspects caught in Pasadena after pursuit

Burglary suspects fleeing Glendale police crashed in Pasadena Tuesday morning, with officers later arresting two after a search, authorities said.

It wasn’t clear if a third suspect was in the car.

Police received a call around 5:30 a.m. about a burglary at Tame Grill, a restaurant on the 700 block of South Glendale Avenue, Glendale Sgt. Kevin Hirano said.

Arriving officers saw a black car leaving the scene and tried to stop the car, but a chase ensued.

Police don’t know yet what was taken from the restaurant, the sergeant said.

The suspects’ car headed to Pasadena and crashed in the Ralphs parking lot at 320 W. Colorado Blvd., with the suspects taking off on foot, Pasadena Lt. Pete Hettema said.

Officers with both agencies looked for the suspects, and one was caught while running near St. John Avenue, and the second suspect was found just south of Green Street, Hettema said.
