Man Wounded in Norwalk Shooting

by Contributing Editor

A male was shot in an arm in Norwalk and the suspect or suspects remain at large, authorities said Monday.

The shooting was reported at 9:35 p.m. Sunday in the 11600 block of Rosecrans Avenue, Lt. P. Chavez of the Norwalk Sheriff’s Station said.

The victim was on Rosecrans when the gunfire occurred, Chavez said. She didn’t know if the victim was a juvenile or adult.

The shooting was not random and likely gang-related, she said.

Detectives from the sheriff’s gang unit shut down the 11600 block of Rosecrans Avenue for about two hours to begin an investigation.
