Police Fire on Man Barricaded in Home in South Los Angeles

A no-hit, officer-involved shooting occurred at a home in the Vermont Square area of South Los Angeles where a suspect involved in a dispute with neighbors barricaded himself inside a home for nearly 11 hours before he was taken into custody Tuesday morning.
Police responded to a home in the 1300 block of West 48th Street near Normandie Avenue about 1:40 p.m. Monday and a SWAT team was called to the location a short time later, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The suspect was taken into custody about 12:30 a.m., police said.
Details of what led up to the dispute with neighbors and the officer-involved shooting were not immediately available.
The name of the suspect was not disclosed.
