LOS ANGELES — Three people were in custody Tuesday morning suspected of being involved in a shooting on the eastbound 10 Freeway in downtown Los Angeles, but it was unclear if anyone was struck by the gunfire.
The shooting occurred around 12:10 a.m. on the transition road from the eastbound Santa Monica Freeway to the northbound 110 Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Three people were taken into custody, and an investigation into the shooting prompted the closure of the eastbound and westbound Santa Monica Freeway transition roads to the Harbor Freeway until further notice, the CHP said.
A motive for the shooting was unclear.
