2 critically injured in North Hollywood shooting

A shooting in North Hollywood left two people hospitalized in critical condition, authorities said.

Police were searching for two suspects, described only as males, who ran away from the scene of the shooting, said Los Angeles police Sgt. Roger Morales.

Authorities received calls about the shooting in the area of Lankershim Boulevard and Victory Boulevard just after 6 p.m., Morales said. Officers found two victims at the scene.

Paramedics transported the victims to a local hospital in critical condition, said Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Nicholas Prange. Their gender and approximate age were not immediately available.

The suspects were last seen running south on Lankershim Boulevard.
