Several people suspected of Woodland Hills home invasion arrested on 405 freeway

by Emily Rasmussen

Several people suspected of invading and robbing a Woodland Hills home were arrested on the southbound 405 freeway near LAX Friday afternoon, Aug. 9.

The home invasion robbery, which included the use of a firearm, was reported at about 2:10 p.m. Friday on the 23300 block of Ladrillo Street in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles Police Department Public Information Office Mike Lopez said. No one was injured, he said.

The suspects fled but officers had the vehicle’s description.

Officers stopped the vehicle and the suspects were taken into custody, Lopez said. He declined to specify the number of suspects.

All southbound lanes were closed between Howard Hughes Parkway and La Tijera Boulevard. An online video showed the suspects face-down on the pavement.

The closure backed up traffic to Santa Monica Boulevard in West Los Angeles. All lanes were reopened at around 2:30 p.m.
