Man, 50, Struck by Hit-and-Run Vehicle in South L.A., Dies at Hospital

A man in his 50s was struck by a hit-and-run vehicle in the Green Meadows area of South Los Angeles and later died at a hospital, authorities said Saturday morning.
The crash occurred at 9:30 p.m. Friday near the intersection of Avalon Boulevard and Lanzit Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The victim was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.
A description of the suspect vehicle was not available.
The name of the victim was not disclosed.
LAPD South Traffic Division investigated the crash.
