Man shot and killed in Gardena; LA County Sheriff’s Department looking for shooter

GARDENA — A man was shot and killed Sunday evening in Gardena and sheriff’s detectives were searching for the shooter, a deputy said.The shooting happened around 6 p.m. in the 15300 block of Crenshaw Boulevard, Deputy Eric Ortiz said.

The victim was dead at the scene, Ortiz said. His name was withheld pending family notification.

A motive for the shooting was unknown. No suspect description was available.
