A 24-year-old motorist was arrested on suspicion of felony driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs for allegedly triggering a crash in Anaheim that injured six people, including a woman who was critically injured, a police sergeant said Saturday.
Leobardo Robledo of Anaheim allegedly ran a red light in a black 2014 Dodge sedan going southbound on Manchester Avenue and struck a black 2019 Honda Fit that was going eastbound on Orangewood Avenue, Anaheim Police Sgt. Daron Wyatt said.
“Both vehicles then struck a utility pole causing major damage to both vehicles and seriously injuring the occupants of both vehicles,” Wyatt said.
Robledo was the lone occupant in the Dodge sedan. There were four 18-year-old men and an 18-year-old woman — all residents of Utah — inside the Honda Fit, he said.
“All are considered to be in stable (condition) except for the female passenger, who is in critical condition, with potentially life-threatening injuries,” he said.
Firefighters and paramedics were dispatched to the crash scene at 11:45 p.m., Wyatt said.
Anaheim police asked anyone who witnessed the crash to call them at 714-765-1900.
