Man injured in deputy-involved shooting in Malibu

A man was wounded after a deputy-involved shooting on Friday afternoon in Malibu.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said the shooting happened at around 4:30 p.m. at a residence in the 28000 block of Bison Court, close to Point Dume and Little Dume Beach.

No information was immediately available on what led to the shooting, but no deputies were injured, officials said.

The wounded man’s identity wasn’t immediately available. He was airlifted from Zuma Beach to a hospital, the Sheriff’s Department said.
