Missing Sylmar woman suffers from depression

SYLMAR — A 47-year-old Sylmar woman who suffers from severe depression was missing Wednesday morning.

Maria Magdalena Martinez Gomez was last seen at 2 a.m. Tuesday on the 4400 block of Olive View Drive, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Gomez is Hispanic, 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs 185 pounds with curly short hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black sweater, blue jeans and black shoes, the sheriff’s department said.

Anyone with information on Gomez’s whereabouts was asked to call the sheriff’s Missing Persons Unit at 323-890-5500 or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477.
