Lancaster Woman, 70, Suffers From Dementia, Missing

Authorities asked Wednesday morning for the public’s help in locating a missing 70-year-old Lancaster woman who suffers from dementia.

Mary Elsie Spears was last seen at 4 p.m. Tuesday carrying a suitcase as she left her home in the 44600 block of Fig Avenue, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Spears is Hispanic, 5-feet-1 inch tall and weighs 180 pounds with short gray hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing glasses and a dark and light gray dress, the sheriff’s department said.

Anyone with information on Spears’ whereabouts was asked to call the sheriff’s Missing Persons Unit at 323-890-5500 or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477.
