Woman found shot to death in Granada Hills alley

GRANADA HILLS — A woman was found shot to death inside of a car in an alley in Granada Hills, and the shooter was at large Tuesday morning.

Police responded about 10:25 p.m. Monday to an assault-with-a-deadly-weapon call near the intersection of Chatsworth Street and Hayvenhurst Avenue, where they located the victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Reports from the scene said the woman’s body was found in a vehicle in an alley near the intersection.

A motive for the shooting and the name of the victim were not disclosed.

A detailed description of the shooter was not immediately available.
