Two Dead in Huntington Beach Crash

An investigation was underway Tuesday to determine the cause of a collision that killed two people in Huntington Beach and left three others hospitalized.
Officers responded to a report of a two-vehicles crash in the area of Beach Boulevard and Taylor Drive at 9:25 p.m. Monday located two people dead inside a subcompact car and three people injured in a sedan, according to the Huntington Beach Police Department.
A 2007 Honda Fit collided with a 2012 Volkswagen Passat, according to Huntington Beach police.
A 29-year-old man from Chino Hills, who was behind the wheel of a 2007 Honda Fit, was killed in the crash along with his passenger, a 36-year-old woman from Huntington Beach, police said. Their names were not immediately released.
The driver of the other car, a 2012 Volkswagen Passat, was cooperating with investigators, police said.
The 25-year-old Huntington Beach man, and two women passengers, one 22 and the other 18, both of Huntington Beach, all suffered moderate injuries in the collision, according to police.
