Two Arrested After Complaint Of Drug Sales In Lake Elsinore

A complaint alleging drugs were being sold out a Lake Elsinore home led to the arrests of a probationer and a parolee, sheriff’s deputies said Wednesday.

Deputies went to the residence near the intersection of Eucalyptus Avenue and Red Gum Drive in response to a call received about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to Riverside County sheriff’s Sgt. Jeff Reese.

Deputies found two people at the home — 64-year-old Beverly Quake, who was on probation for possession of a stolen firearm and previous narcotics offenses, and 38-year-old Roger Grimard, who was on parole for assault with a deadly weapon, the sergeant said. A search of the home yielded methamphetamine, digital scales, packaging and other items common with drug sales, he said.

Both were booked into the Cois M. Byrd Detention Center in French Valley, and Quake was later moved to the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility in Banning, where she’s being held in lieu of $30,000 bail on suspicion of narcotics sales, possession of drug paraphernalia and controlled substances and an outstanding failure to appear warrant.

Grimard was being held without bail for allegedly violating his parole, jail records show.
