Ambulance burns up on 405 Freeway in Van Nuys; no injuries reported

Flames ripped through an ambulance on the 405 Freeway in Van Nuys on Friday night, June 19, but no one was injured, the Los Angeles Fire Department said.

An engine and a truck responded to the 405 Freeway’s southbound offramp at Roscoe Boulevard at 9:37 p.m. for a report of an ambulance burning with oxygen tanks inside, spokesman Nicholas Prange said.

The PRN ambulance did not have any patients on board, according to reports from the scene.
