Police: Man Dressed Like National Guard Member Arrested for Weapons Violation

A man wearing military gear similar to a National Guard uniform was arrested on an assault weapon violation in the downtown Los Angeles area Tuesday, police said.

Gregory Wong, 31, was taken into custody by police at about 1:30 a.m., Los Angeles Police Officer Drake Madison said. The exact location of the arrest was not immediately released.

Wong was “outfitted” like a National Guard member, and was arrested on suspicion of an assault weapon violation, Madison said.
