Authorities Tuesday identified a man who allegedly fatally shot his two young sons and then killed himself in Lomita.
The three died at the scene of the shootings that occurred just after 11 a.m. Sunday in the 25800 block of Hillworth Avenue, according to Deputy Michelle Sanchez of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
They were identified by the county coroner’s office Tuesday as Harold Bolier, 43, Adrian Haskell, 11, and Julian Haskell, 8.
Deputies responding to a rescue call found the boys and their father dead from gunshot wounds and it appeared the man’s wound was self-inflicted, Sanchez said.
The case has been classified as a double murder and suicide, Sanchez said.
Anyone with information on the case was urged to call the Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau at 323-890-5500. Tipsters can also call Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS.
The homicides were the first in Lomita since 2018. Leroy Jessie Abeyta, 46, was shot on Feb. 15, 2018, at the intersection of 258th Place and Cayuga Avenue and died seven days later, Sanchez told City News Service.
