Victim and Suspect Hospitalized from Stabbing in Hacienda Heights

by Contributing Editor

A victim and his attacker were in separate hospitals Monday after a stabbing at a house in unincorporated Hacienda Heights, authorities said.

The stabbing inside the residence at 16037 Sigman St. was reported at 3:22 p.m. Sunday, said sheriff’s Sgt. B. Lemus.

The victim was in critical condition, Lt. James Long of the Industry Sheriff’s Station said. The suspect, in a separate hospital, is displaying stable vital signs.

The two men were roommates, Long said.

The suspect fled the scene but stopped to call for help about four miles away because he had heavy bleeding from stab wounds on his arms suffered in the attack, the lieutenant said.

Names were not released.
