Two Women Arrested in Marijuana Grow Bust

Two women were arrested and hundreds of marijuana plants were seized during a raid of an alleged illegal grow house, sheriff’s officials said Saturday.

Deputies served a search warrant at 9:45 a.m. Friday at a home in the 6800 block of Nottoway Court, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

Inside, authorities said they found and seized 469 marijuana plants, five pounds of processed marijuana and an estimated $17,000 in cash.

Xiaoxia Liu, 32, of Jurupa Valley and Yan Liang, 33, of San Leandro were arrested on suspicion of illegal marijuana cultivation and possession of marijuana for sales.

They were booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center but were released after posting bail.
