Authorities circulated a photo of a missing 57-year-old Altadena man who has Alzheimer’s disease and is off his medication in hopes the public will help them find him.

Randall Avery Carter was last seen Thursday about 9 p.m. in the 3400 block of Hollyslope Road, near East Loma Alta Drive, according to Deputy James Nagao.

Carter is black, 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighs about 146 pounds. He has brown eyes and short brown hair. He was wearing a black sweatshirt, a blue collared shirt, blue jeans and white shoes when he was last seen.

The sheriff’s department deployed two search dogs and a Mountain Rescue Team to look for Carter Friday night.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Missing Persons Unit at 323-890-5500 or 911. Tipsters can also call Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS.
