Police Investigate Shooting Outside Hotel in Riverside

At least one person was shot outside a Marriott Hotel in Riverside and a there was a heavy police presence at the location Saturday morning.

The shooting occurred in the 3400 block of Market Street near the Riverside Convention Center, between Fourth and Fifth streets, about 11 p.m. Friday, according to the Riverside Police Department.

The victim was taken to a hospital in unknown condition.

A description of the suspect and a motive for the shooting were not available.

Video from the scene showed guests standing in the parking lot of the hotel.

Civilians were asked to avoid the area while police conduct their investigation.
