Pedestrian Killed by Vehicle in Desert Hot Springs

A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle in Desert Hot Springs, police said Saturday.

The pedestrian — identified only as a woman — was hit at about 10:40 p.m. Friday on Palm Drive south of Dillon Road, according to Desert Hot Springs police.

The woman who was behind the wheel of the vehicle stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators, police said.

Authorities do not believe alcohol or drugs played a factor in the crash.
