Detectives Probe Shooting Death of Woman in Carson

Homicide detectives Saturday continued their investigation into the shooting death of a woman in Carson.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene of the shooting, which occurred about 12:15 p.m. Friday in the 18800 block of Crocker Avenue near Avalon Boulevard, according to Deputy Erin Liu of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Information Bureau.

The circumstances of the homicide and the identity of the victim were not immediately known, and no arrests were reported.

Her name will be released pending notification of next of kin, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.
