Pedestrian Hit By Vehicle in Malibu Critically Injured

A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle in Malibu Monday and critically injured.

The collision occurred about 5:40 p.m. in the 22400 block of Pacific Coast Highway near Carbon Beach Terrace, according to Imy McBride of the Los Angeles County Fire Department and Lt. Anna Carrillo of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Malibu/Lost Hills Station.

The victim was airlifted to UCLA’s trauma center where he is in critical but stable condition, Carrillo said.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators, according to Carrillo.

Information about the victim was not immediately made available.
