Public Help Sought to Find 76-Year-Old Missing Woman

Police asked for the public’s help Monday to find a 76-year-old missing woman.

Gay Bennett was last seen on Sunday about 4 p.m. in the 5400 block of West Boulevard, near Slauson Avenue, in the Hyde Park area of South Los Angeles, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

She was last seen wearing a grey sweater, multi-colored pants, a white scarf and red shoes, police reported.

She is described as black, 5 feet tall, 125 pounds, with grey hair and brown eyes, according to the police.

Investigators urged anyone knowing her whereabouts to call the Los Angeles Police Department, Missing Persons Unit at 213-996-1800 or the LAPD 24-hour tipline at 877-LAPD-24-7.

Tipsters can also call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
