Backyard Fire Spreads Into Home in Lake Elsinore, No Injuries Reported

A fire that started in the backyard patio area of a Lake Elsinore home Wednesday morning spread inside the house before firefighters were able to extinguish the flames.
The fire was first reported about 12:45 a.m. in the 600 block of Parkview Drive, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
A total of 20 firefighters needed 40 minutes to contain the fire and crews would remain at the scene for at least 90 minutes to monitor for hot spots, the department said.
No injuries were immediately reported. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
