by Daily News
An SUV that went off the side of the northbound 5 Freeway in the Valencia area early Wednesday crashed so hard into a tree that the vehicle’s front axle broke off and its engine was thrown clear out of its frame and onto the ground.
The driver in the solo crash just north of McBean Parkway was transported to Henry Mayo Newhall Trauma Center in unknown condition, said a photographer at the scene.
