TIL In 2010 a Chicago PD commander was convicted of torturing over 200 innocent black men to force them to confess to crimes they hadn’t committed. Many of the men received decades long sentences and 10 of them were sent to death row. The cop who framed them only was sentenced to 4 years in jail.
