Man Found Shot Dead in Residential Neighborhood of Santa Ana

Police found a man shot dead Sunday in a residential neighborhood of Santa Ana.

Officers dispatched at 5:43 a.m. regarding a call of a man down in the 800 block of South Townsend Street found the victim unresponsive with gunshot wounds to his upper body, the Santa Ana Police Department reported.

Arriving paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene. The block includes several apartment complexes.
