Woman Killed In Gang-Related Shooting Near Venice Beach Boardwalk

A woman was killed Tuesday in a late-afternoon gang-related shooting near the Venice Beach Boardwalk, and five male suspects remain at large.

The shooting occurred about 5:25 p.m. in the area of Ocean Front Walk and 17th Avenue, according to Officer Jeff Lee of the Los Angeles Police Department.

It was not immediately clear if the victim was taken to a hospital or died at the scene. Her name was not released.

The shooting is believed to be gang related, and five male suspects were last seen fleeing northbound on Ocean Front Walk, from 17th Avenue, according to Lee.
