The Sheriff’s Department Friday circulated a photo of a 21-year-old man suffering from depression who went missing in Diamond Bar.

Matthew McCarty was last seen July 26 at his home in the 2900 block of Castle Rock Road, the Sheriff’s Information Bureau reported.

McCarty’s family said he left in his red four-door 2011 Chevrolet HHR headed to Northern California or Wyoming.

He was described as Black, 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing 175 pounds with brown eyes, black hair and glasses.

The license plate numbers for his vehicle were 6TJK828.

The sheriff’s Missing Person’s Unit urged anyone with any information regarding McCarty’s whereabouts to call them at 323-890-5500 or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477.
