One Killed in Freeway Crash in Burbank

One person was killed Thursday morning in a crash on the southbound Golden State (5) Freeway in Burbank.

At 1:05 a.m., the California Highway Patrol responded to a solo-vehicle crash into the center divider close to a construction zone near Hollywood Way.

Firefighters and paramedics dispatched to the scene at 1:06 a.m. transported no one to any area hospital, according to Verdugo Fire dispatcher.

A representative from the coroner’s office was called out to the location at 2:11 a.m.

The age, gender and name of the victim were not disclosed.
