Armed Assault Suspect Holed Up in Hollywood

An armed assault suspect holed up Saturday in a building in Hollywood, police said.

The suspect barricaded himself a little after 4:20 a.m. in the 6700 block of Hollywood Boulevard, said Officer Jeffrey Lee of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Media Relations Section.

Lee said a SWAT team was called out to the location.

No further information was immediately released.
