Man Struck and Killed by Freight Train in Sun Valley Area ID’d

The coroner’s office Sunday released the name of a man struck and killed by a freight train in Sun Valley.

Tommy Lewis was 49 years-old and his city of residence was unknown, the coroner’s office said.

Firefighters sent to the 8100 block of North Sunland Boulevard at 10:25 a.m. Friday pronounced the victim dead at the scene, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
