Firefighters On Scene of Brush Fire in San Dimas

A brush fire burning uphill in San Dimas Friday scorched 100 acres Friday, but no homes were threatened, authorities said
The fire was reported about 4 a.m. near San Dimas Canyon and Golden Hills roads, northeast of San Dimas Canyon Golf Course, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. The fire is burning uphill, but no homes are threatened, the department said.
The fire had burned 100 acres as of 6:15 a.m., according to the La Verne Police Department. Three water-dropping helicopters were on scene assisting crews on the ground, police said.
La Verne Fire Department personnel were assisting county crews.
The cause of the blaze was unknown.
