Suspected Gang-Related Shooting in Norwalk Leaves Man Hospitalized

A man was hospitalized Friday morning with at least one gunshot wound suffered in a suspected gang-related shooting in Norwalk.

Deputies responded to a shooting call in the 13100 block of Markdale Avenue, near Dace Street, about 10:40 p.m. Thursday, where they located the victim, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

The victim was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening wounds, the sheriff’s department said. His name and age were not disclosed.

A detailed description of the shooter was not immediately available.
