Three people were shot in the Vermont Square area of South Los Angeles Friday evening.
The Los Angeles Police Department received a call at 7:15 p.m. about two men being shot near 51st and Hoover streets, according to Officer Drake Madison.
Around the same time, a woman was shot one block away, at 51st and Figueroa streets, Madison said, but he could not confirm that the shootings were related.
Two of the victims were taken to a hospital, according to Madison, but it was not immediately clear which victims.
The two men were conscious and breathing when officers located them, while the woman was unconscious but breathing, Madison said.
No suspect description was available.
