Teenager Critically Wounded in Pomona Shooting

A 16-year-old boy was hospitalized in critical condition Friday morning with wounds he sustained in a shooting in Pomona.

Police responded to calls of gunshots heard in the area of Lincoln and Caswell avenues at 11 p.m. Thursday and found the teenager suffering from a gunshot wound, according to Sgt. Edgard Padilla of the Pomona Police Department.

The victim was taken to a hospital in critical condition, Padilla said.

A motive for the shooting and a description of the shooter were not immediately available.
