Three Shot at Santa Ana Apartment Complex

Three people were shot Wednesday afternoon at an apartment complex in Santa Ana.

Police were sent about 3:15 p.m. to 9 MacArthur Place on a call of a shooting in progress, said Santa Ana police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna.

Officers found one victim on the ground floor and another on the 15th floor, he said, but further details, including where the third victim was located, were not immediately available.

One of the victims may be a juvenile, Bertagna said.

Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Blaine Morgan said three male patients were taken to an area hospital, but he did not have details about the severity of their injuries.

Police were searching the apartment building for more possible victims and the suspects, Bertagna said.
