Investigation Launched into Death of Man in El Monte

A man was found dead Saturday morning in El Monte and an investigation into his death was underway.

Deputies responded to the 11400 block of Garvey Avenue at 1:05 a.m., where they located the victim, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, which was assisting El Monte police with the investigation.

Details of what led up to the man’s death, as well as the victim’s name were not available.
