Authorities ID Man Found Shot to Death in Duarte; Suspect or Suspects Sought

Authorities Wednesday identified a man who was shot to death in Duarte, and sheriff’s detectives continued their efforts to solve the apparent gang-related crime.

Juan Loera, 38, was found dead about 3:40 a.m. Tuesday in the 2000 block of Goodall Avenue, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

“There is no suspect information at this time,” according to a sheriff’s statement said. “This incident is believed to be gang-related.”
